Description
This gorgeous pen is decorated with millefiori flowers made out of polymer clay, which is an ancient glass blowing technique that has been reproduced using polymer clay. You will find a beautiful garden of White Roses, White Daisy’s flowers and White flowers with Hummingbirds. Pen is handcrafted by Toni Ransfield using brass tubes covered with polymer clay. This would make a very special gift for anyone.
I cut slices of several different floral canes that I have made and applied them to the pen. Carefully smoothed onto the pen and baked in the oven till cured, sanded and buffed to a high sheen. For extra protection a very thin coating of gloss is then applied to keep the pen as shiny as it was when it has been purchased.
We have attempted to capture the Royal Heraldry of the Tudor period with this extravagant pen, fit for a King or Queen. Inspired by British Royalty, this pen pay homage to the coronation scepters illustrated in Tudor portraiture. WeÃve captured the period beautifully with detailed scrolls, cresting leaves, and filigree typical of the period. The flared end ever so slightly mimicking the shape of a coronation crown. Easy to make with a single 3/8in. tube. Uses a Parker style refill. Plus, the Antique Pewter finish is formulated to simulate the sophisticated sheen of time-worn pewter. The authentic patina and natural darkening brings out the details of the finish and creates a unique feel with a charm all its own. It will add a sense of warmth and history to your to your handmade creation.
